About

Founded in 2014 on the piers of NYC, Brooklyn Fishing Club started as a small crew of passionate urban anglers who refused to let city life get in the way of getting tight lines. What began with striped bass under the Brooklyn Bridge has since grown into a global movement—uniting people from all walks of life who share a love for the water, the pursuit, and the culture that surrounds it.

Today, BFC is more than just a club. We’re a community. A podcast. A lifestyle brand. A source of knowledge, gear, and curated expeditions to some of the most remote and exciting fisheries on the planet. From Sheepshead Bay to the Seychelles, we fish hard, we represent Brooklyn wherever we go, and we’re just getting started.

Whether you’re casting from the shore, a skiff, or a secluded riverbank—if you live to fish, you’re one of us.

Victor Lucia is an angler, a storyteller, and a community builder. Victor launched the Brooklyn Fishing Club to bring together like-minded urban fishermen and shine a light on the rich angling opportunities that exist in overlooked places.

What started as late-night missions and early morning pier runs turned into a full-blown movement—anchored by Victor’s unwavering belief that fishing is more than a hobby. It’s a way of life.

Today, Victor hosts the Brooklyn Fishing Club Podcast, leads curated fishing expeditions around the world, and continues to grow a club that’s as much about the culture as it is about the catch.

Victor and the crew welcome you to become part of the BFC movement.
