Ice Fishing

We traditionally do an ice fishing trip to Lake George every winter. We totally understand that the trip hinges on the ice thickness - safety first, always! Fingers crossed for a solid freeze! Considering some of us are new to ice fishing, hiring a guide sounds like a stellar plan. Sailfish Trip to Guatemala

THIS TRIP IS FULL BUT WE’LL BE DOING IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR!

We’re returning to Guatemala! In 2020 we won the 5th Annual Guatemala Sailfish Invitational, landing 63 sailfish between four people in three days! This year we’re going back for fun and we’ll be staying at Casa Vieja Lodge, an all inclusive fishing resort that is top tier, not only for the fishing but the hospitality. Our founder, Victor, who won the sailfish tournament with a team of BFC members in 2020, will be there to help any beginners who might be intimated by such a serious trip. All skill levels are welcome to inquire.

Anyone who attends this trip will receive 3 hats and 3 custom BFC t-shirts designed specifically for the trip, one for each day of fishing!

Guided Trips at the BFC Florida Fishing Outpost

Over the past six months, our founder has been down in Florida setting up a fishing outpost for the club to use during the winter months. Any and all club members are welcome to visit anytime from December-March. Everything from Peacock Bass to Goliath Grouper can be caught, and in terms of gear there’s a 12’ Jon Boat, a 10’5” Hobie fishing kayak, rods and reels capable of catching largemouth to tiger sharks and more. Our founder, Victor, will personally guide you throughout the entire trip. All you’d have to do is fly down and be ready to catch some big fish!

Striper Trip w/ Lady L Charters

We’re heading out with the legendary Captain Rudy aboard Lady L Charters to fish for stripers. Our founder, Victor, will be on the trip to help and answer any questions. All you have to do is bring some food & drinks and be ready to have a lot of fun! The cost is $200 per person plus tip and there are 3 spots left. All bait and tackle is provided and your catch will be cleaned for you at the end of the trip.

Pier Fishing for Striped Bass

Join us for a pier fishing session at night for striped bass in Brooklyn. As we get closer to the date w’ll decide on the exact location based on where the fish are. Surf Fishing for Striped Bass

This trip is for all the surfcasters in the club! We’ll meet up in Rockaway to spend the morning surfcasting for striped bass and anything else that might be around. This is a BYOB (bring your own bait) event. Beginners are welcome but you’re required to bring your own gear, our founder, Victor, will be there to help and answer any questions. He has an extra surf rod if anyone needs to borrow it that day.

Barrier Island Beach Brawl

We’re fishing in Nick Honachefsky’s Barrier Island Beach brawl Columbus Day weekend. (Nick was on the BFC podcast two years ago). Our founder, Victor, will be fishing with the crew and we’re aiming to win.

It’s a super fun tournament, and last year we had BIG bass in tight to the beaches.

If any BFC members are interested in coming let us know and you can fish with us, or at the very least compare notes and meet for a beer at Crabs Claw for the awards night.
